At Realm Business & Tax Advisory, we want to help individuals and business owners navigate the complex US Tax Code and make sound financial decisions. Our goal is to empower people by educating them about strategies used by individuals and businesses that can reduce what they owe the IRS, save more for the future in retirement and stay abreast of changes in the tax code both today and in the future.
We also want to change the typical Accountant/Client relationship, where you speak to someone once per year, they prepare your tax return, bill you and never talk to you again until the following tax season. Usually, it is too late to do anything to plan for whatever occurred during the previous tax year.

Meet our Team
Roger DaSilva
Owner
Roger is an Enrolled Agent and has over 20 years of experience scaling and growing businesses from early-stage startups to public Fortune 500 firms in investment management, sales, and operations leadership.
He has started two businesses in the financial services sector: an Investment Management firm catering to High Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices, and Institutional clients as well as an Outsourced CFO firm for Startups and Small Businesses.
He lives in Hermosa Beach after moving from New York City with his wife Jen and 2 boys. He is getting better at surfing slowly but surely.

David Hansen
Tax Manager
David is a CPA with 15 years of accounting and tax experience. He is a dedicated tax advisor who strives to legally minimize taxes paid by clients with a proper tax plan.
He has prior backgrounds in Restaurant Management and Real Estate Investment/Management. He brings his prior experience to the table when helping clients both big and small identify opportunities for savings to improve cash flows and help clients make better and more educated decisions regarding cash flows for their business.

Andrea Romo
Senior Tax Preparer, Enrolled Agent
Andrea Romo is a senior tax accountant with over 15 years of experience working with some of the most successful small firms in the South Bay. Andrea delivers top notch service and takes pride in her customer relationships. She excels at educating other employees on using technology including accounting software, communication procedures and organizational apps.
Andrea is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others. Andrea is inspired daily by her husband who is a third-grade teacher in South Los Angeles. In her free time, Andrea likes to walk her dog and watch reality television.

Tax Preparer
Prinkle is an accomplished Chartered Accountant and CPA. She has worked with a multinational IT company and Deloitte for over 4 years.
Her engagements span a spectrum of disciplines, from financial reporting and audits to taxation intricacies, accounting analytics, SOX & IFC.
Her experience includes business tax preparation, tax planning, resolving IRS issues, and offering other customized tax strategies.

Don Mercilus, originally from Akron, Ohio relocated to Houston, Texas in 2012. He Attended the University of Houston - Downtown, Marylin Davies School of Business, graduating with his BBA in Accounting.
He has worked at small to midsize CPA firms with a focus in Business and Individual Taxation. Don has 7 years of experience in tax preparation and client relations. He is currently sitting for his CPA license.

Senior Tax Staff
Luis Montes has been working as a tax accountant for the past three years, assisting both individuals and businesses with their finances and maximizing tax savings. He finds solutions and builds confidence in what can often be a daunting process. His experience at a small-to-midsized CPA firm has equipped him with a wide range of knowledge.
Luis earned his degree in Accounting and Information Systems from UNLV, providing him with a solid foundation for tackling complex tax challenges. His aim is to make tax season less stressful and to ensure you’re prepared for success year-round.
Outside of work, Luis enjoys weightlifting, running, and exploring new food spots, which helps him maintain a balance between hard work and personal fulfillment.

Vienna has worked at Realm for two years, focusing on tax data input. She recently earned her CTEC tax license. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and going to the beach.

Jessica Cruz
Tax Staff
Jessica started at the front desk for Wayland and Vukadinovich and is now part of the tax staff for Realm. She has associates degrees in Business Administration and Humanities and is at CSU Dominguez Hills for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Public Policy. Previous to Realm, she has experience working in a chain tax office. She enjoys interacting with clients and assisting them with administrative questions.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, collecting vinyl and has two cats.
